National Treasure 3

As much fun as I had with the first National Treasure, it’s incredible to me that people are still excited for a third one. Even if the following one had been excellent (it wasn’t) this seems like a concept which runs out of gas after a show or two. But it’s still going, people are seriously excited about it (no really), and now we know when National Treasure 3 will hit theaters.

In an interview with Coming Soon, director John Turteltaub revealed that they plot to start shooting the following sequel late this fall or early this chill with the goal of having National Treasure 3 in theaters for Christmas in 2011. This timeline but, makes a lot of assumptions. From the context of Turteltaub’s interview it sounds like the haven’t really locked up the cast yet and don’t even really have a script.
